I bought the Fusion drive once it is available on the JR. I’m really impressed with the easy installation, the status and usefulness of the software, and look around the station. Instructions are clear and the wizard will incorporate by creating a dynamic DNS, the router how to create, and any other information that would normally actual technical part. A very important I think to keep in mind when setting up drive: if you VOIP, make sure the Internet telephony device is connected to a router, usually the phone connecting cable companies modem, router and then to the phone, which makes port forwarding useless. As if this little create the Internet connection, everything works seamlessly.
I think the interface and the appearance (and the choices appear) evolves over time, but I must say, I am very impressed with how everything was working properly ( I’ve tried the software remotely Home), and above all, how stable is everything. I’ll do anything for Mac, and I always worry if enought tests are done to ensure compatibility with the Mac, and so far everything is okay. I love the fact that the Maxtor is a USB-2. 0 ports for future expansion. It is a good price, but recomment this drive on the market all the NAS drive.

Fusion installation CD does not recognize the status before I turned off the Windows firewall. Of course this is not mentioned in one of the installation manual. Do not attempt to directory of more than a few to download high resolution (5 megapixels or more) images, or it takes forever to produce thumbnail images. Drag-and-pop-Java application files, the import of import is very slow (even over Gigabit Ethernet), and leave a folder, it is not to create files in a folder under, but it brings out all the files in the root directory. Very disappointed about what was possible for a useful product. If you have a 1-2 megapixel photos, documents or small, just a few small directories, this can work, but $ 700? You can do better.

The coupling of these in my router, change the workgroup name, and use a web-based interface to change settings. It is used as the Champ. Another reviewer to discuss the software, I did not try. Most software on the hard drive manufacturer is not very good. Our family can share photos, videos, documents and move around the house.

Well, this box of the product. At first I did not, and probably will not use because the web server. I chose to just the NAS device. It is more than bricks and $ 135 (after tax and shipping) I paid to see the unit is operating.
First, if you do not know how a small network may not be buying a NAS storage. They are usually not very easy to install especially if you’re using RAID. After installation, they usually have low maintenance. Fusion is very easy to install NAS and I do not think that requires little maintenance if necessary. I was firewall / antivirus problem another reviewer mentioned, but is expected when the base of any network or web interaction software. Once it is smooth sailing.
It is not quiet, but not near as hard as most NAS is simple. Add-on USB ports so far worked well in my Seagate FreeAgent drives. I had to rework on FAT32 discs, but worth finding the reception and the cables. Easy to close and immediate access to data is a huge plus, too.
I will definitely buy more of this!

I have nothing nice to say about the company (Seagate) and Philips.
Both seem to rip off consumers on a regular basis.
