This is my first NAS, so I can not really compare with others.

The installation of the basic funcionality back-up (you can connect to a network can find, the installation of back-up list) work as expected. I have a separate backup drive, so I take back up NAS (yes, they can also crash). And the practice of NetBak SW Qnap back up my laptop to NAS. Documents around is ok.

I moved my pictures, music and related, and the content is now available via the Windows-based computers (network share) and the LG BD-390 Media Player (more than UPnP) . Mac-access is easy, too. It has many other functions of the Qnap is that I have not worked.

To be honest, you need something on the public understanding of the IP addresses this is adopted (and change), but in practice the rights to shares, increasing access the rights that you have a personal FW laptop computer, which prohibits access to employment matters, etc., but I expect all this NASes.

I bought four Seagate Barracuda at the same time, and everything works well, as a backup drive NAS.
