This has little to drive! Quickly and easily add a 500GB in my MacBook Air when I have a number of changes in WD’s institutions. WD makes a terrible job of marketing a new passport drives. What they leave people to guess, that should be better informed:
1 Drive connected to cable, micro-USB, no right of ownership. This means I can use the cable for your Nokia mobile phone and vice versa.
2 Firmware prevents off-site content you downloaded, but later gave WD a firmware update to make this possible. A star from the irritation.
3 The station is actually much smaller than before. It would be a side-by-side images. This is because the circuit board from a USB hard disk on board. I have this product delivered within 2 days after ordering. The station is really cool, small and compact and the 500GB drive. Software installation is fine, I have no problem, and I could begin to move their files immediately. Speed of transfer is also good. It took only 45 seconds to a film of the transfer size of 2GB. I did what I was looking for.

This WD portable hard drive is different from other USB-powered portable drive in two regards: first, it features 256-bit hardware encryption, the other, it really is * very * thin, about the size and weight of the original 5GB iPod (maybe a bit lighter – I do not really remember). I have some older WD portable drive and find them very reliable, so I have no doubt this is the second reliable drive. Two small complaints : 1) The drive can be used very hot, so one should be careful when handling this, 2) The USB connector is its own kind, so the supplied USB cable or dock, and not a standard mini — USB cable.
In short, I think WD drives Elite ultra-portable, stylish and easy to use, when I realized the driver installation. If you are an encrypted backup from your iPod or as little space, this is the way to a small hard drive. If you speed, take the Toshiba portable USB hard drives.
